Biomass plays a key role in reducing CO₂ emissions by transforming fuel of power plants producing green heat. Usually, biomass combustion systems consist in fluidized bed technology.

Flue Gas Treatment for biomass are designed to remove Dusts, Acid Pollutants (HCl, HF, SO2), Heavy Metals, Dioxins and Furans and Nitrogen oxides (NOx) by SCR process if needed, but also for heat recovery by flue gas condensation.

Heat recovery by flue gas condensation is a very important step of the concept and is often combined to combustion air humidification which increases the humidity of the flue gases in order to recover more heat and to increase the overall heat efficiency of the plant.
