LAB is thrilled to announce the successful taking-over of the BIOFOS project for the Flue Gas Treatment system at the sewage sludge incineration at the Lynetten wastewater treatment plant in Copenhagen.
Signed on April 21st, 2026, this milestone follows a successful trial run in December 2025 and several months of stable plant operation.
📍 BIOFOS, Denmark’s largest wastewater utility, serves around 1.2 million inhabitants across the Copenhagen metropolitan area.
Project scope
- Retrofit of existing Flue Gas Treatment system
- New Baghouse filter with 3 cells – flue gas flow of 24,000 Nm³/h
- Sodium Bicarbonate injection system for low emission levels
- Installation on existing facilities
- New residue transport and storage system
- Full integration into the centralized plant control system
Delivered on time and without disruption to ongoing plant operations, this project reflects LAB’s ability to modernize existing industrial facilities while ensuring operational continuity.
Following the handover, the project has now entered the warranty phase under LAB’s dedicated after-sales support teams.
