Komorany scrubber – oversized transport completed

January 19, 2026

A 23.5 m long / 5 m diameter scrubber has been successfully transported to the Komorany site (Czech Republic) for the Flue Gas Treatment of the new 150’000 tons/year WtE plant that will be operated by United Energy.

Transport sequence
• Sea transport (vessel 1): until Hamburg
• Inland vessel (vessel 2): Hamburg → Lovosice via the Elbe River
• Road transport: 70 km to site – Lovosice à EVO Komorany site (Most)
• Direct lifting and installation on arrival

Due to variable Elbe water levels and strict road transport constraints, the operation required precise planning and coordination.

The scrubber was installed immediately upon arrival, without intermediate storage.

Next in 2026: two scrubbers delivered by LAB will be transported via the Elbe to the new ZEVO Melnik site.
