Zuchwil – Successful trial run and handover to Kenova

Following a failure-free and stable plant operation over an extended period of 3 months, we are pleased to announce the signature of the Preliminary Acceptance Certificate (PAC) of the Flue Gas Treatment of for the Waste-to-Energy plant.

  • Project KEBAG Enova Emmenspitz Waste-to-Energy plant – Zuchwil, Canton of Solothurn, Switzerland
  • 2 lines – 16.5 t/h each (≈ 220,000 tons/year of municipal & industrial waste)

    This milestone marks the transition to operation under kenova’s full responsibility.

    Project highlights

    • High-efficiency combined Flue Gas Treatment system (wet + dry)
    • Stable and reliable operation under real conditions
    • Integrated heat recovery
    • Operation with very low emission levels

The PAC has been granted, with final performances validation currently under evaluation.
At LAB, this phase is key: it demonstrates our ability to deliver robust and field-proven solutions, ensuring a smooth transition from commissioning to operation.
