DeNOx SCR

Selective Catalytic Reduction for low NOx emission Control

LAB designs and delivers deNOx systems based on Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) to reduce nitrogen oxides (NO and NO) in flue gases to ultra-low levels. Our own custom-engineered SCR solutions ensure compliance with the strictest environmental regulations, while minimizing reagent consumption and ammonia slip and respecting highest operational reliability.

What is SCR?

SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) is a part of flue gas cleaning process where a reducing agent, such as mainly ammonia water or urea, is injected into the flue gas. The mixture passes through a catalyst layer bed where NOx is converted on the catalyst surface into nitrogen (N) and water vapor, both harmless to the environment.

Catalytic module

  • Up to 95% NOx reduction efficiency
  • Works at medium to high temperatures (180–300°C)
  • Using highly efficient catalyst in cooperation with well-known produce
  • Best solution for installations requiring strict NOx and ammonia emission limits

Key Features of LAB’s DeNOx SCR Systems

  • Tailor- LAB made design adapted to your flue gas characteristics (temperature, dust and other pollutants content, NOx reduction, flow rate, etc.)
  • Flexible reagent choice: ammonia, ammonia water, or urea
  • Modular catalyst configuration for catalyst management and optimized lifespan
  • Optionally integrated cleaning systems to prevent dust or salt deposit and to limit flue gas pressure drop
  • Upstream dedusting system (like ESP or bag house filter)
  • Upstream or downstream integration of acid gas removal (dry or wet system), and heat recovery devices
  • Low temperature SCR: Catalyst regeneration with flue gas recirculation upstream FGT to avoid pollutant’s peaks at stack
